Why this exists

A movement for the cycle breakers.

Abundantia Financial Group was built for the people who were never handed the blueprint — the first-generation professionals, the daughters translating paperwork for their parents, the women tired of survival mode.

Three generations together

We are the bridge between the struggle of the past and the prosperity of the future.

Hispanic households hold a fraction of the wealth of their white counterparts — not from lack of work, but from lack of access. The systems rich families pass down were never taught in our living rooms.

We change that. Through one-on-one strategy, community workshops, and our podcast, we put the cheat codes in the hands of the people who need them most.

What we stand for.

01

Access

We translate strategies traditionally reserved for the wealthy into clear, actionable plans.

02

Education

We teach the systems first — your decisions only matter if you understand them.

03

Cultural Fluency

We meet our communities where they are: bilingual, multigenerational, and unapologetic.

Licensed financial consultant, cognitive scientist, entrepreneur, and advocate.

Yessenia Urena is a licensed financial consultant, cognitive scientist, entrepreneur, and advocate dedicated to helping first-generation families build wealth, opportunity, and lasting legacies.

A first-generation Latina, Yessenia overcame childhood sexual abuse and sexual assault as a teenager and transformed those experiences into a lifelong commitment to service and empowerment. She founded End Rape Culture, a nonprofit that supported hundreds of survivors of sexual violence and earned recognition from NPR and WPTV.

As part of the small percentage of Latinos in the United States who hold a master's degree, Yessenia earned an advanced degree in Cognitive Science and later worked with the United States Department of Education, helping first-generation and low-income students gain admission to college, secure funding, overcome barriers to success, and increase graduation outcomes with the goal of helping students earn their degrees with minimal or no student loan debt.

Today, Yessenia combines her expertise in human behavior, financial education, and wealth-building strategies to help families protect what they build and create generational wealth. She is the host of Soul Mirror: The Journey to Unbecoming, a top 1% podcast exploring personal transformation, identity, and self-mastery.

Through Abundantia Financial Group, Yessenia is on a mission to help first-generation wealth builders—particularly Hispanic families and women—gain access to the financial strategies traditionally reserved for the wealthy. Her work focuses on empowering clients to protect their income, preserve their assets, build tax-advantaged wealth, and create legacies that outlive them for generations to come.
